Aerial problems

Hi all,

so few months back I posted a thread saying I'd been really stupid and when installing my new head unit I was way to heavy handed and broke the little "pin" type part of the aerial plug that goes into the back of the headunit. I was advised to go to MT audio and I did but they don't sell the lead I need apparently. I've been to renault to get a quote and I couldn't quite believe it when they said it would be a maximum of £280 !!!!

I've emailed renault parts direct and I can get the lead I need for about £45 - a lot more affordable!

My question now is, how easy is it for me to change this lead myself? Is it just a case of taking everything apart and finding my way back to the the aerial base them swapping the leads and putting it all back together :) or am I being naive in thinking its that simple?

It is part number 10 in the picture below I'm talking about btw

Could you not cut off the plug, and get a plug repair kit? This is what i did, when i changed the headunit.

I used something like this

I guess cutting the plug off and getting a repair kit may work :) I do have one of those things youeve linked above but it is the aerial lead that plugs into those silver adapters that I've broken :-(
