MG ZS180 Mk2
Well, after helping to PC (well Meg220) my bosses car yesterday, my own ride was feeling sorry for itself.
No need to paint corrective treatment on the ZS as it was in pretty good condition. It was just snow foam, wash (Megs Gold Class), dry, polish (Autoglym SRP) and wax (Megs Gold).
Took 6 hours though (meaning a total of nearly 13 hours chariot cleaning this weekend) as it was all done my hand. 1 hour to wash, 5 hours to polish/wax.
SNOW FOAM ACTION CAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Black car, hot, sunny day. There was only ever going to be 1 outcome. A very very bad water marked finish.
I put the car in the garage and went to have lunch for 1/2 hour. This allowed the paint to cool.
After lunch, I moved it out the garage a few feet which allowed me to polish/wax the boot and then kept moving it back until I had done the whole car in the shade.
I wish I hadn't wrote that on the boot as it left me a smeared finish so had to do it again. Seemed funny at the time.
So there you go, a lovely mirror finish all round. Arm aches now.
