Aftermarket seats

Do aftermarket seats such as the ones which went into the Trophy fit all cars? Say if i was to buy a set from another car would they fit my car if i bought the correct subframe?

The recaro (Trophy) seats will fit a 172cup and other cars with the correct sub frames.

As long as you can get subframes I cannot see why they wouldn't fit.

No! Well, not easily. Recaro make the seats for the Evo 6, but they are produced as OEM and the bolt pattern isn't the same as the aftermarket seats so no subframe will fit them.

This is deliberate to stop you getting the seats cheap. I found out this the hard way... On the upside the proper aftermarket ones will tilt, unlike the Evo ones.

Was just thinking that the evo seats are from a saloon and therefore wont tilt.
