Is this a wax? Or is it to be used as well as a wax?

It's classed as a sealant, wax can be used on top of it but not required.

Ok thanks. Is it advisable to use a wax on top or does it not make a huge difference?

I'm not detailing freak but find that a combo of SRP, EGP followed by a coat of HD Wax works well! Really easy to use and seems to last ages.
