They rebuilt my box. Good job, apart from forgetting to add gearbox sealant!

I know quite a few people that have used them, and had no probs though.

Tell him Burpspeed sent you

I've used them on several occasions- top fella.

Only had one little niggle that the selector arm was put back the wrong way round on one box- nothing a 13mm spanner couldn't fix though..

Max he has ever charged for a Clio box was £275 i think he said, and that was seriously mashed up.

Just to clarify they do not sponsor us. They are just a specialist company that we found and have used several times now

Holy thread revival - sorry chaps.

I have a gearbox with Martin at Agency at the moment. Booked for collection for over a week but the courier keeps arriving to find no one there. I am assuming that he has closed to self isolate. Does anyone happen to have a mobile/home number for him just so I can find out whats happening?

Its a bit of a nightmare as the car is in the street jacked up with no engine/box and the neighbors are getting a bit arsey (boring f*****s).

Any contact help would be great.

Does anyone know if this place is still open please? I'm looking to get some work done but the phone just keeps going to voicemail

Honestly - go with someone like NorthloopCup mate.

Agency did a good job from what I can tell but Martin the owner just went into lockdown without even telling me or calling (from home) so the prearranged courier failed to collect 3 times which was a massive PITA. Although I have not used NorthloopCup he has a good reputation and presence on here so it more accountable for his work than Agency.

Agency have a good stock of parts for the box and their price was probably unbeatable but for the aggravation I doubt I would personally use again.

"What are you doing for the rebuild"

"All new bearings, seals, syncros"

1000 soft miles later - yea, that bearing looks brand spankers Martin. He did do shifter seal and syncro hub to his credit which fixed 3rd gear crunch I had however that was replaced by a real good whine 1000 miles later as said.

If he had given me the choice to pay more and actually have new bearings I would have said yes in a flash, if I had my time again I would have just sent the whole box to NorthloopCup.

Live and learn.
