Air bag!!

is it a hard job removing the air bag on a 99 shape clio??



im lookin 2 put a different steering wheel on!

Just remove the old steering wheel completly not just the airbag..

The most important thing to do is disconnect the battery and leave it for a few hours for the airbags to discharge (so it doesnt blow up in your face as your working on it, could kill you really)

I dont know what you have to do, but in the interests of safety, Im going to tell you - no, dont just remove the bulb

removed mine and fitted isotta wheel at weekend. Really easy. jus disconnect battery 30mins before removing airbag. You have to remove air bag first, unplug it, and then you can remove the rest of the wheel. As for the lights, the airbag light bulb can be removed, the service light has to be taped over with black electrical tape.

why u call doing it the difficult way with the airbag warning light lol! momo do a range of bosss to suit airbag equiped clios (mainly 98> i think) which include resistors connected to a plug that will fit where the orginal airbag plugged into and this will keep the airbag light off and the rest of the system functioning correctly...bout 45 quid from ur local ripspeed
