air con again help me its cold out.

right basically my air con doesnt turn off and only sticks at one speed.
the dash panel turns off but it doesnt stop blowing i can pretty much do everything else but turn it off and adjusting the speed it blows.

any ideas whats wrong and how to sort it?

ive looked into a new dash panel as thats what renault said could need sorting. but i thought id check first.

the only way to actually turn it on and off is to take the fuse out.

This just your air con or the whole heating system? My whole system did this a while back, I turned mine off on the climate control display and it use to stay on, sometimes came on faster!! Been told its the resistor pack which is where the pollen filter is, under the windscreen scuttle, I've not replaced mine yet, just cleaned up my fuses and its behaved since!

the hole thing does it and yeah mines slowest on auto but when you turn it off itd go faster.
you cleaned the fuses in the passenger side box? or the resistor pack? anyideas on a cost for one?

Yeah same as mine.. i cleaned the fuses on the passenger side, and its helped.. but sure its only a matter of time before it goes crazy again. No idea of cost, but if you put resistor in the search tool on here it will find you a few replys

ah right well i take the fuse out when i dont need the air con on and put it back in to turn it on lol so i doubt its that.
so ill just try a new resistor then.

right just checked the resistor pack and it looks allright and cant see how a new one would fix it.
anybody got anykind of idea whats going off here, i really dont wanna take it to renault and be raped 80 quid for them to diagnose it.

This any help mate? Gives a bit more of a detailed.. "to do" list.

Mines the same tho, looks ok, but i think they get water in them and thats what upsets the system, so feel you may have to change it just to elimanate (sp) it.
