Air Con Controls

Just checking to see if every other Clio 182 with air con is the same.
When I press the button to lower the temperature it counts down but when it gets to the coldest the screen no longer says 16 but goes blank on the left hand side. The same when you go to the highest temperature.
Is this normal with them all?

When you go below 16 it says "min" on the screen. At the opposite end, it goes to "max"

Mine for some reason doesn't say anything. Might look into a new unit. Thanks
