If the lamp comes on and theres no clunk from the engine bay then it may have lost its gas. This is what happened to mine. The drier had sprung a leak and was replaced under warranty.
Pic shows the culprit after it was dyed and was waiting for parts.
Yer doen all that it said in book but on cold air ( not that i need in in this wether) is still under warranti so not a prob just thought it may be somthing simple
its more of a click. have the bonnet up and you should hear the air con compressor click in a few seconds after you switch on the aircon. the most likely problem with yours is lack of gas due to a leak. if the aircon system sees no gas pressure it wont start the compressor.
