Air con or not air con

Seeing as the weather today has been rather nice. I thought I would test the Air con in the car but I find that it does not work. Now I have the thoughts of either it needs re-gassing or it has been removed.

Is there an easy test to see if the a/c has been removed?

you have a 182 cup, they wernt fitted to many cups ! :S

All 182's have aircon as standard. You are confused with a 172.

182s came with either climate or air con was my belief

prolly needs regassing . unless someones removed it

Whip it to kwik fit, if a regas works then yu pay, if not, you dont.

then you'll need to get a specialist in to find out where the problem is, possibly a leak

yep I had mine done at kwikfit. My compresser blew but least it works now !

Finally got the problem fixed, it turns out that there was very little gas in the system. Klick fit filled it up and it now works, they did say that it might stop working in a week or two due to the seals going hard again. If it did I just have to take it back and they will sort it free of charge. £49 for the Re-gas which is better than the can of stuff from halfords at the same price.

is that unusual? thought they all came with it?

not all of them. only a few Cups have them and all the normal 172s...

The cups basically are lighter, no abs and no ac/cc

AC in UK? I don't even need that in Germany and we're seeing the sun here quite often.

Very true, good point. Luckily my air con is still ok, but I don't really use it I just tested it now on my way home
