Air Filter &Oil

Can anyone advise where to get a panel filter from, and will this invalidate my warranty if I fit one?

And what oil does the 172 run please?

i think its 5W-30 but if your givin it some proper stick you might wanna use a 5W-40 instead

id recommed silkolene pro oils, buy em online http://www.a-pp.comwww.a-pp.com

Demon Tweeks will sell you a Pipercross panel filter (the sponge / oil type). Mine cost about £30. Had my 12,000 service last week and told the dealer it was installed & therefore not to change the air-filter - no problems at all.
