Air Filter With My Mods Help!

Hi, a few questions to ask about what air filter to use in my valver - basically, ive got the usual zorst/k&N combination but i also have a hillpower stage 2 chip, PBV and cams. I would have thought the K&N would be best option considering the amount of fuel i burn but is this case? Can the standard airbox give me more than the IK with my mods (assuming i slap in a replacement element)?

Cheers!

The valver has an uncommonly big airbox which flows pretty well already. Compare the size of a K&N panel filter for the airbox and a cone induction kit. The panel is actually bigger so has more filtering area. Assuming there is no difference in the material which there isnt, it stands to reason that the panel filter flows better overall. Then add in the benefit that it is almost immune to low speed engine bay heat coming off the radiator, block, gearbox, coolant pipes etc and there is really no reason to use anything other than a performance filter element in the standard box. Apart from if you want a lot of noise.
