Air Filter

Ive been told that a cheap way to increase performance is to drill holes in your airbox, this is a cheaper alternative to a performance air filter. are there any major problems with doing this

itll slow your car down. hot air = bad.

If you made cold air feeds upto the hole then maybe but not worth the hassle.

Im sure theres more effects, im not expert..

  Skoda Fabia vRS

that is the only reason, it wont do anythin for performance really, jus let hot air in....

hot air = bad................cold air = good

cold air has more oxygen than hot air.........

Yeah hot air is bad, but if you do you have to drill LOTS of holes, ive drilled about 7 12mm holes around the edge of mine away from the block and it has made bugger all difference, no extra sound.

If you get a filter you MUST have atleast 2 50mm cold air feeds to it.

If you have a Mk1 clio then a trick is to stick a valver bonnet on it (you have to cut off the rain guard), the vent is in the perfect position to blow straight onto the Induction Kit.
