You say that but at a rolling road day we did someone had done that. phase 1 172 and it made 140bhp. We put my filter on it and it went up to 175bhp

Would have thought absolutely no point without a proper remap and free flowing exhaust to suit?!
No point freeing up the breathing unless you do bot front and back (so to speak lol) and compliment that with a remap to alter fuelling and timing in my experience.....
