Air filters?

Which do u guys use? I'm doing an interim service. Was just going to stick to oem but open to others. I realise I won't achieve any gains in relation to power but a nice sound would be an option.

ps I have a ktec racing exhaust

I fitted a ph1 airbox with a ktec air filter inside. It sounds insane! Feels more responsive but that just may be in my mind, certainly hav'nt lost power though.
Always another option :)

Nice one matey. How would you describe the sound? Also is it much more expensive than standard?

Hard to describe, it just sounds like a deep roar lol. I should try and do a video really sometime, it certainly turns heads when I put my foot down that's for sure! Also it has a slight whistle sound to it when you get really high in the rev range which sounds pretty cool.
I love it :) best £40 I've spent. Has put me off the exhaust idea now as I feel I don't need one for noise!

how do you know you've not lost power?

Well, I can't be 100% sure unless I did a dyno before and after, but I drive the car a hell of alot and it doesn't feel any different! Just more noise. Initially when I put my foot down it seems to pickup better, but as I say that could all be in my head

The noise u describe is similar to mine at the moment. Well the whistle anyway! Cheers mate. Ill look into it

Yeah it probably is. Either way I didn't do it for the power increase: you don't gain much at all / if anything with air filters. I just didn't want to lose power :) feels like I hav'nt so I'm more then happy with the results of putting on this ph1 box!

Standard box with a Green filter inside... can't tell if there's any noise difference as I got a new exhaust system put on at the same time lol.
