Air intake mod

  Corsa now :0
Hi, yesterday my mate showed me me a little "chip" that was connected to a wire on an air temperature thing near his induction kit (sorry for being so unspecific i really have not got a clue what it is) he said it improved the performance of the car alot. I have been trying to find out more about them on the internet but as i dont know what they are called i cant find much. as far as i can tell it is a resistor that fools the engine into thinking it needs to be on cold start all the time therefore increasing the amount fuel which is used. Does anyone know anything about these and are they a good idea or not? cheers

Increasing the amount of fuel used won't make your car faster....

They're s**t. Don't waste your money. There is no miracle 'chip' that will make your car faster.

Bad idea. Very bad. Does it sound good to you if your engine is being fooled into thinking it is cold all the time?

  soon to be 182 ;)
yea it fools you car into thinking it is running slightly cooler and feeds it more petrol, wont make much difference

He might get bore wash but thats about it. Probably the fuelling will be adjusted due to the lambda reading meaning the electronics counter the adjustment anyway
