airbag again

I'm after a little help with my air bag / service light, I've done a search and have read the guide on how to fix the problem " wiggle the wires " etc but this dosent seem to work. After a more detailed inspection of the wires i was kinda worried to find the the wires have been cut on the grey box, has someone already had the problem who owned the car before me and the wires have come lose again ? I have a Mk2 172 FF any help or advice would be helpful

If the systems already have the normal fix applied thenbest take it to a garage get them to mesure the resistance of the wires etc.

Would you say that the normal fix has been done ? could one of the wires come lose ?
