Airbag light MOT query?

Has anyone recently got an MOT with the airbag light not illuminating, i've heard this is an advisory. Can anymore confirm?
I understand that if it stays on its a fail.

If your car has any illuminated warning lights, whether it is the airbag, seatbelt, ESP, SRS, ABS or others, it will fail the MOT. i had to fix my headlight washers last week, due to the new changes...

If the light stays on its a fail, if the light doesn't illuminate when the ignition is put on and it's stays off it's an advisory.

It's an advisory if it does not illuminate. Advised one the other day.

I did not manually type it in as an advisory, its was a pre typed vosa advisory i selected when entering the test results.

Car went through the mot yesterday and passed, no advisorries regarding airbag light not coming on. Only advisory was abouty blue side light bulbs.

I also contacted vosa via email questioning this and this was there reply.

"Thank you for your email enquiry dated 18th January, 2014 concerning anairbag light.

If the airbag warning light indicates a fault then it is fail. There is no
failure criteria for it not indicating a fault or missing."

Im not an mot tester but the manual seems quiet clear:

Method of inspection:

If the vehicle is fitted with an ABS and/or ESC system, check that the relevant warning lamp(s):
a. is fitted
b. illuminates
c. does not indicate a fault

Reason for rejection

A warning lamp:
a. is missing
b. does not illuminate
c. indicates a fault
