Airbag light on after new wheel fitted - wont reset.

Hi

I fitted a new re-trimmed wheel to my Clio 172 just before Christmas, ever since then my Airbag light has been on. Plugged it into a Snap-on machine today to clear the code and every time i tried it came back. So whipped off the wheel again, double checked the connections and all is ok.

Anyone come across this before?

did u unplug the battery for 20mins before removing the airbag and wheel?

is the new wheel connected up with air bag etc or is it an aftermarket wheel?

if its just the same wheel and airbag then as mentioned you probs didnt disconnect the battery, id reccomend 30 mins to be safe as well

Disconnected the battery for at least half an hour before disconnecting the airbag. and it is 'the same' wheel as before, original 172 one, just re-trimmed.

I thought you had to use the Renault Clip system to turn off the light.

Needs clip to turn the light off iirc.
