Airbag light..

Having trouble with airbag light... Recently changed the squib on a 2005 clio, put everything back together started up and the light was on... As if this car hasnt caused me enough grief!

Anyway i did turn the ignition on while the airbag was disconnected so thought this may have been the fault, plugged scanner into it and tried to clear the codes and they wouldnt clear.. So took everything apart to see if everything was fitted properly and it was but the light stays on

Any ideas? Dodgey squib?

I can take a squib off the 182 trophy we have down the unit?

Iv just fitted a new squib, due to broken wires etc fr the horn on then old one.. It may be a faulty squib... I dont think a 182 one would be any good for a 1.2 due to CC?

Sure it isn't randomly the wires under the seat?

Nooo the RB is fine.. Other than a noisy powersteering pump

When i plugged it into my scanner it said:

B1008 Circuit 2 drivers front airbag 329008ATT

B1007 Circuit 1 drivers front airbag 329007ATT

So i assume it means the wheel airbag...

Yeah I'd assume so, you haven't broken the wires when passing them through the squib have you?? Or passed them through wrong so split them?

The ribbon wires etc are in tact so i assume not..

Hi, i have my serv and airbag light on, i went with the car to the renault dealer and they told me that i have my airbag ECU is dead. When i connect the ELM with my mobile it says that ecu has no errors... should it appears when i do the check? And should it solve if i get another ECU from a 172?

I don't know, because i just have bought the car from a girl... :S

A second opinion is needed then. If it has crash data then it can be removed (for a fee) or you can try a second hand one but it will need some config work I'd say unless you buy one from an identical spec vehicle.

I wouldn't recommend buying new
