Hi I was wondering if you could give a bit of advice.Basically, my airbag light is on but with no crash data etc, and I have soldered the wires under the seat together but to no effect. After speaking to my Renault specialist, they said I needed a new airbag ECU - and quoted £350. When I asked if it was possible to change it myself (I have seen this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0SxaRjXhEA) by buying a part from ebay. They said this could not be done though because of the coding and as a result I would need to change my engine Ecu, and my keys etc for the coding to work? Is this true? What is the cheapest way I can change my ECU while keeping my airbags working? Thanks very much in advance. My car is a 2005 clio campus sport.
