airbag question on seats.

i have an option to buy a 172 interior, its in good condition but the airbag has gone on the passenger side seat.

what needs to be done to the airbag>? just put back in and stiched up or is there more to it?

any advice would be great, the interior is a good price inc door cards only 2k miles old

just want to know if it is worth it? or will it cost loads to fix

just pull the bag out but it might be hard to stitch up depends how its burst

Depends on how much the seats are I suppose.

i know a place that can repair it just worried about the bag

Youll have to wire up a resister into the circuit to pretent theres an airbag there.

A new airbag is. 82 00 187 646 AIR BAG £196.72 ex vat.

Sticking up the seat isnt a huge problem mine have been done and you cannot tell.

putting a resistor in may make you liable in the future, once you sell your car if the car is in an accident"! better just to put a new bag in which is tricky! also you may need new wires. if you do it yourself the whole job wont cost more than 300ish!

Just tell the person you see the car to its got leather seats and the airbag has gone off and youll be fine.

£300 is a fair bit to replace an airbag. Might as well knock £200 off when you sell it IMO.
