Airbag recall letters

Anyone had recall notices through the post this morning regarding the airbags?

I posted a few weeks ago stating there was due to be a recall but it now appears to have gone official.

Airbags arent deploying in some cases as they are faulty but theres also a problem with the warning light which doesnt illuminate to show they are faulty. Obviously you find out the painful way...

Do you know if its just cups or a certain year 172?

Jesus, i remember my airbag light use to come on all of a sudden for no reason on my old 172, now you mean to tell me Renault have fixed the problem by making sure it doesnt even work on the newer models!!

The letter was sent to my old address so I asked my old man to open it. Apparently its all Clios.

I have the recall/technical number somewhere but as usual someones moved it.

I think it is only 172 cups....

got my letter yesterday. Just as well it was going in for a service anyway eh?

Not only the cups got my letter yesterday mines a mk2 172

Is this published anywhere i.e. specific models/dates etc? I havent had my 172 Cup long so I would be suprised if I got anything.

On the topic of recalls, is there anywhere you can check for an official list of recalls on Clios?

Someone at the gym told me theres a recall on 172s for the right suspension top mount? Never heard anything about this before on here - is this right?

Not sure its a recall, but mine had some sort of mod to the struts when i complained front suspension was knocking.

if you go to a good renault garage, they will tell you the full list of problems that are possible with clios. And there is A LOT!

Just booked my car in for 36000 mile service, airbag warning light recall, and knocking noise on struts.

Mr Renault didnt know about the recall... until he put it into his computer, and it told him what to do (reprogramme instrument panel). I had my car in before for the knocking, and they adjusted the struts, and worked fine for a while... but now its gone again.

Only letter Ive had off renault this week is trying to flog me a new model.

Mines started knocking now as well so will book them both problems in together.
