Airbag Service Light

This popped on on saturday night and is still there. Now normally, french engineering allows me to switch the car off, turn it back on, and problem solved. However, this is not the case on this occasion.

For some reason i think it may be my seats, possilby a loose connection. Would this be covered by warranty? (i bloody hope so) as it is an 07 clio 197.

also, as the light is on, will the airbag still deploy in the event of an accident, as the computer is telling the car there is a problem with the airbags?

Airbags still comes on even with the warning light.

dropped the car off this morning. lady at service desk "and how wil you be paying for it if it is found to be not covered by warranty?"

i'm sorry....what? the airbag is not covered by warranty on a 3 month old car!!!
