Airbag Warning Light (MK1 PH3)

My airbag warning light is on but dont know why or how to fix it.

Only bought the car about 2 weeks ago so dont have the slightest scooby why its on

Help please...

just go round and check connectors everywhere.

Check under the passenger seat first then the drivers seat. You will see some block connectors for the wiring. Fiddle with them and it usually makes the light go off (hopefully it won't make the airbag go off!). It takes a few seconds before the light goes. Then tape them up with some duck tape. It often happens when you vacuum under the seats.
