Right i've had my passenger side airbag and seatbelt pretensioner fired after hitting a curb, the question is do I need to replace both the side impact sensors or just the one on the side thats been triggered ?

There the sensors that are mounted on the side of the car under the seat.

The airbag faq says both should be replaced but surely if only one side has been triggered then only one side needs replacing.

The other thing thats throwing me is that the new sensor i've bought behaves electrically the same as the old one. They both show open circuit across the pins and they've both got a diode across too.

Any help would be great.

you have to replace computer not impact sensors plus the side air bag and the pretensions that fired.

Got a new interior so airbag and pretensioners are sorted. Airbag comp is in germany having its memory erased, b*****d wasted £60 then.

Just says in there that the side sensors need changing too. Though i'm doubting it more by the minute.

yea if your having it erased then that fine its one or the other mate. never replaced side sensors mate.

Yeh, i'll get the airbag comp back and test it with both first.
