I have my Rs one month now, from 5/05/03. And i have some problems with my airco. When i put the airflow completely off, when i drive above 70mph there is a blowing sound in one of my air openings. There is a blowing sound also when i put the intern aircirculation on. When i went to my garage, they where searching over one month to find the mistake. After several internal mails to Renault Paris( with no reply) one employee from the garage found that its the electronic valve in the manhole that divide the air to the desired air opening in the dashboard. Now he phoned to some employee from Renault Belgium to talk about the error. And after a couple of hours he got a reply. This is what they said : There is no solution to the problem, because the valve must always let some air thrue, because the valve cant take all the air flow at that speed. The pressure on the valve is to big. So the electronic valve cant close it.

So now is my question is anyone here that has the same problem? Because i think this is a easy way for not doing any work on my car. I think they want to get rid of me.

There is a little noise inside the car with all the vents closed, but normally I leave them open so its not a problem.

hello. welcome to cliosport. your english is very good. Maybe the renault garage are just fobbing you off (fobbing meaning cant be bothered to do anything). id keep asking my non english friend and see if you can get a second opinion (ask somebody else) or wait for a reply my friend.

So you have this problem to, How old is your car?

But with my car this sound is very annoying when i drive this fast. Imaging that you are chasing a f**king Diesel on the highway at 190km/h (+/-110mh/h). What i frequently do . So the stinking diesel blows all this ugly gasses out, so i put my internal circulation on. then i cant hear my radio anymore because of the blowing sound. But that is what the button does doesnt it. So i think there is something wrong with it when it whas fabricated. That they put in a valve that cant handle the pressure, that is something i cant accept for a car like this.

me think you need to slow down my friend. i.e dont drive too fast, its not a good idea in our country the police tend not to appreciate sppeding? if your a german i understand, our roads are not autobahns. he he. take your car to a renualt specialist, i.e(means for example) or give them a try/e mail phone call to ask them. seems strange renault dont want to help you. keep on the case (means be persistent keep asking). you may have some luck

My car is 2002. I must admit I dont generally travel at much over 150km/h on our crowded public roads, and on track days all the vents are open anyway. I doubt I can hear the radio at 190 km/h either!

I live in Belgium



I give my garage one week to solve the problem.

I had problems with the car the moment i came out the showroom. First off all the navigation didnt work. They replaced the antenna, then it worked but the car whad still in paris on the gps. Then they replaced the cd changer and then the gps worked properly.

Then it whas the problem with the phone. My phone did not worked on the holder. and when it worked the stupid little speaker they put between the passengers seat wasnt strong enough to understand the conversation they are still working something out with Renault Belgium to put it on the speakers off the radio gps. then you buy a gps of 1200euro and they place some stupid little speaker. there is still no reply on.

Then the interior became to fall off. They ordered new pieces i am still waiting that is 3 weeks now. they told me that interior pieces take more than one week but not 3 weeks hey. It is not that the pieces come from the usa, they come from Paris. i can get them in one hour.

i am sick of it, they are destroying the car image.
