recently bought a 182 and have found that when i lock it sometimes, there will be a 'beep' 'beep' 'beep' but most of the time there isnt a beep at all

i have found it hasnt got a bonnet switch but surely if thats the fault then it would do it all the time?

is this normal

Yes its normal.

It happens when you press the button on the key fob too quick after getting out of the car. The alarm on the car needs time to "prime".

It only does it to me when i jump out the car quick and press the fob button. If i press the fob after walking away it never does it.

It's when the alarm can't sense full closure. Normally a faulty sensor... normally the bonnet sensor due to the worst possible positioning of it.

I've never had the three separate beeps, but a closure error is one prolonged beep, until you deactivate it with the fob.

my alarm was going off at silly o'clock in the morning all the time so I came on here and found out if you turn the ignition on and off twice before locking the car it will beep as it disables the sensors inside the car.

Mine does this, and it's not because i lock the car to soon.

I tested it today...looked like a pleb in town when I was getting in and out real quick and locking it as soon as I could!

Couldn't get it to beep tho :/

Mines random.

I call getting out of car, unlocking house, getting in the porche, taking shoes of then locking the car long enough.

Other times i lock it as soon as the car door closes and it's fine.

No really, it is. I had to replace my bonnet sensor, then it stopped. lol.

Regardless of how quickly I lock it, it won't beep. Yet if you leave the door ajar, it does.

The boost, I'm confused too don't worry lol, tried it loads of ways and won't do it then randomly it'll beep! Not a major problem but it's just frustrating not knowing the reasoning behind it! Lol

I'd understand if I had the 'solid single' beep but mine seems to be different to the rest lol
