Alarm going off

My alarm kept going off overnight, every 20mins or so. I checked all the doors & windows etc were closed properly. In the end, I found a post on here detailing how to disable the ultrasonic sensors, which I did but it still went off - so I just left it unlocked and it was fine.

Is there anything that might be causing it? I had it valeted yesterday, and it's still a bit damp inside - might the moisture be causing it somehow?

Aye yes - just the standard fitted one on a PH2 172.

hmmm, alarm was ok yesterday didn't go off once but it's just gone off again.

The led near the gearstick is blinking once as the alarm is going off - suggesting that its the doors/boot/bonnet sensor setting it off?
The lights and dash sensors for the doors and boot appear to be working ok, suggesting it might be the sensor in the bonnet?

Has anyone got any pics of this, is there a way I can disconnect it to rule it out?

if your wanting to disconnect the bonnet alarm sensor mate just push the bottom of it from underneath and when its popped out you will see how it unclips, sorry not very technical but i tried lol

Is the sensor at the front the one on the passenger side, to the left of the headlight? Looks like a rubber switch type thing

mine did this. Wouldnt stop all night. right after i used some pretty potent fabrics cleaner in it

Interesting, as mine had a full valet with shampoo and that dashboard stuff. Did yours stop on it's own?

how do i test my alarm?

Sit in the car, lock it. Watch the little led as you wave your hands over the sensors. If the light goes haywire. Its all good.. abit of a shake will set it off too lol

Not mocking the problem here but it must look funny as hell to someone walking past seeing a guy sat in his car on his own waving at the roof and shaking from side to side.....

myne keeps going off in the middle of the night, really pisses me off cus it wakes the hole house up and the neighbours, finally getting it sorted on warranty, new ultra sonics on moday, but i hav 2 fit em, gay
