wood it be any good? I dont have an alarm on my car yet, just the rem. cent. locking (an 02 clio) & how hard 2fit?

If the price is starting from around £70 you can expect the guy wont mind selling it for his start price an anything else is a bonus....what sort of value will you get for that with good security.

You may end up getting loads of false alarms or no alarm at all and you may as well now have it fitted.

If you can afford stump up for a proper alarm that is professionally fitted..at least it will be worth the cash.

Personally, Id pay about £300 and get a CAT1 installed at a proper car alarm place.

Toad Ai606 or Clifford Concept 300 or even the new 650.

All about £250 - £400.

I know its expensive, but for the piece of mind.. its worth it imo.

Yeah if you want to be alerted remotely you can always have a pager fitted to a standard alarm.

cobra. the most reliable alarms out there.. and get the job done as good as the rest. standard on afaik all mk2 172s

Thats gona be a nightmare to fit, I fitted one of them Mannix pager systems to mine with remote start sort of had it going but could not get it to work in conjunction with the thatcham one fitted so ended up removing it.

Good luck with fitting it m8
