Alarm...Issues...grr

Right, Ive searched through all I can find on the search bar using 'alarm problems'

Mines a Ph1 172

basically earlier I drove back from work to Halfrauds to get a couple things..

Go back to the car after 10minutes or so, unlock it (indys flash as usual), go near the bloody thing and the alarm suddenly goes off.

I lock it back up, although that doesnt stop the alarm going off....it turns itself off about 20secs later, making me look a right c**k.

Again I go back to the car, unlocking it, ALARM again goes off when I go to get in....

finally I think stuff this, get it with the alarm going off....drive home with the alarm going off, after 20secs stopping...2 secs later on again...you get my drift by now lol.

judging by what people have said, I gather these alarms are s**t.

Just wandered what the fault was...as it just randomly happened? :S

I've got to get to work tomarrow, so would prefer to drive there without an alarm going off all the way??!!!?? any quick fixes for now ? like taking a fuse out?

try covering up the sensors on the inside on the car, thats hw i stopped mine

lol well i got into the car earlier without touching a thing...seems as if the alarm has given up all together now!

I sat inside it, locked myself in and danced around like a nob, didnt do anything lol

yup, the standard one.

i have a problem with my alarm not responding to the key properly, changed the battery on the key and the alarm is very intermittent, sometimes it will unlock sometimes it wont.

i hate renault electrics!!!

Sometimes the earth connections are shite, worth checking that out.
