Alarm Problem

  172 Cup
Right guys and gals this is my problem, my Alarm is playin up, but makes no sense to me!

Basically when locking the car with the key fob the Alarm will go off around every 20 mins, showing 1 blink on the light by the gear stick.
But also if i lock the car without the fob (pushing lock button in car then locking door manually) the alarm tends to stay off for a lot onger but will still go off at least once a day, again showing 1 blink on the light by the gear stick?

so what the hell is goin on, can anyone shed some light, I'm assuming the bonnet sensor is faulty but why the big difference in time between the two methods of locking! Also the interior light does go off when doors are closed which shows that the doors and boot sensors are working? (correct?)

any help would be greatly appreciated!:)

managed to get the bottom part of the sensor off and that looks fine, but the top part with the button type thing i couldn't get out?

any ideas how to diable the alarm but lock the cup or just how to diable the bonnet sensor?

Ignition on once (don't start the car), straight back off close the door and arm it.
It should arm then beep once to confirm.

This will only disarm the sensor until next time you deactivate the alarm.

Just so you know that will deactivate all the door sensors, not just the bonnet. 1 flash is all sensors - boot, doors and bonnet. Leaving ultimately just the ultrasonics working.
