Alarm Problems!!! Please Help

My Alarm keeps going off randomly (Standard Renault/Cobra Alarm). I then unlock the car to dissarm the alarm, but when I go to lock the car again it starts off with a high pitch constant beep under the bonnet, leading to the full alarm going off. I have tried opening doors and putting ignition on and none of that seems to help.

The only thing that allows me to lock my car without the alarm going off is opening the bonnet and playing around with the bonnet close sensor thingy. After this the car locks and alarm arms and its fine for a few hours. Then all of a sudden ... off it goes again, and I have to do it again!

Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? I cleaned the car on Saturday, and it started Sunday evening. Is it a dodgy bonnet close sensor under the bonnet?

Could be yeah, try unplugging the sensor (under the slam panel). It sounds like the alarm is arming as though the bonnet is still open.

Mine was doing this and driving me mad!! I found it was water in the drivers side, door close switch. Every now and agian the car would think the door was open and the alarm would go off.

sounds like the bonnet alarm sensor is faulty poss could just need raising up so the alarm senses the bonnet is shut
