Alarm Problems

when I lock the car doors the red light near the gear stick dos'nt flash anymore and when I unlock the doors the same red light and the light on the button to lock the the doors from the inside stays on until I start the car.



Also I hav'nt heard the alarm go off in a while, it used to go off all the time when I opened the doors to quickly after unlocking them.
