Alarm system

I have a dyanmique and as far as i am aware, there is no alarm system installed in the car... only the key to unlock and lock the car doors.

Can anyone recommend me a cheap but decent enough car alarm system that could cater my needs:

1. Just an alarm system that can detect movement in the car after a break in
2. a break in

dunno ask renault, they are like £300, bit thats not including fitting nothing they offer in my experience includes labout, £56 for mud flaps, for that price i'd expect the fittend and a lap dance.

what ever you get make sure its thatcham approved halfrauds and argos sell alarms but some are not approved and so wont reduce the insurance.

My local renault have an alarm upgrade offer on at the moment, it adds an alarm operated by the plip for £99 inc fitting. Thats manchester by the way.

So i should pop into my local renault and ask what deals they can offer me on an alarm system?

If you want to just use the plip to activate the alarm then go for the cobra option at renault, they were also offering a Cat 1 upgrade alarm all in for £199.

You could try any decent overlay alarm. Like a toad or something?

the bottom one... £89.99 any good? Sounds like what i want! But im sure its a DIY installation... does anyone know whether it'll be easy to install?
