Alarm

Confused of Cirencester here...

Have just bought a 172 (2001 car).

Sometimes when I lock the car having been out in it, the lights dont just flash, but the system bleeps three times at me as well. The car is locked. but Im not confident that the alarm is armed. Other times, I just get the two flashes from the indicators. Is this normal?

Any ideas? The instruction manual seems to have translated from Urdu, into poor English.

If you want to test the alarm leave the windows down and lock the car then try and reach around or shouting / rocking the car if the siren goes of then the alarm works

If your still under UK warently for 3yrs (even if its an EU import although portugal or somewhere only have 2 yr warenties) so take it to Renault to let them fix it.

it shouldnt beep when arming or disarming, it beeps if you try lock the car and tyhe boot/bonnet or door is left open...
