ALARMING PROBLEM

  Clio 172, BMW Mini
It seems the Clio has another little trick up its sleeve, tried to unlock it today with remote plipper, nothing happens, even 6 inches from car, so forced to unlock with the key, the second I opened the door the alarms gone off, remote won't do anything, put the key in the ignition switch on, still alarm going off, car starts, alarm still sounding, move car, try to open bonnet to disconnect battery, bonnet release won't work, switch car off, get out shut door, keep pushing remote plipper, finally car locks alarm beeps 3 times, red alarm light in car starts flashing normally, now the damn thing is working WTF is going on.

  E46 320D Tourer!
I'd replace the battery in the fob mate. Might be so low that it can only pump a signal out intermittently. Would be my first and cheapest attempt at a fix anyhow!

Had the battery in the fob tested, it's fine, must be a fault in the car, has this happened to anyone else ?, how can i disable the alarm, so if i have to unlock it with the key again, the damn thing dosen't go off, when i open the door, will be leaving to go to a motorsport event at 04.30 Saturday, if it happens then their will be uproar in the hood.

  MK3 GTI golf 16v
mines an absolute t**t. it goes off nearly every time i unlock the car with the fob.

solution.... dont use button. just lock the car with they key and the alarm doesn't engage, well, doesn't go off at all anyway

not really a fix but it will do for now till i get it looked at
