Low 15s is the norm for a standard 172.

A good standard 172 can run 14.9 a Cup usually a tad better due to the lower weight.

Paddy used to run 14.4 with a 172

Chris n Nic with his Cup ran 14.1 with the rears seats out, Rsport ecu, open IK, and exhaust/decat.

I think one of the Cups ran 13.9 with similar mods but slicks on the front.
