OkYou hate a trader making money on a car?
Don't buy anything from the supermarket from now on...
How much were they new? This was £10k in 2011.
How much were they new?
I think the general idea of a trader is to make money to be fair.
They buy the car cheap and then sell it on.[/Q
I'm waiting on a 18k 172 cup up for sale soon at Ktec.
Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Was driven by a right wanker. Thrashed everywhere, etc....
haha, Yeah that was my car. I'm not too fussed, Ktec will always inflate the price. It might even sell close to that price too as it was a cracking car. Trust me I didnt lose any money on this car.
Seeing as @Gus owned it, it's probably one of the best out there!
They should sell it for what they bought it for, I'm not sure how they sleep at night.
That defeats the object of being a business then...
At least someone understood it ??Sarcasm
Fair enough. At least someone understood it ??
I had the pleasure of owning that car for about 2 years, Absolutely loved it! It had the best of everything -Akrapovic, Bilsteins, Recaros, Brembos, projectors, billet gear stick, Alcantara wheel, Cup2 tyres, Cup with aircon and the best colour out there - Alien green. It was a joy to own and drive. The suspension was a little firm for pottering around in but perfect for a quick blast on a weekend. Bet that car is worth a lot now.I was wondering what my car might be worth (for insurance purposes obviously 😉) so i Googled ‘alien green Clio’ and stumbled across this post… If DF59EHY was your car @Gus, I am the lucky guy who brought it from Ktec for that ‘over inflated’ price. And still own it to this day.
I actually love it more than my mother (she knows this) and still is my pride and joy. The day I got it I was on the A12 driving home and some guy in Lotus Exige pulled alongside and just smiled, nodded and gave me a thumbs up. At that point I knew then I had done the right thing. I’ve had lots of RS Clio’s over the years (including an epic 172 cup) but this is the longest I’ve owned, and it’s genuinely tragic how much I love it.
I’ve kept it in top notch condition and still looks as good as the day I got it… also credit to its previous owners I reckon. Treated it to a few bits and bobs over the years…new cup2’s, ktec remap/induction kit, wheel spacers and a suspension refurb…but it’s been faultless and looks the b****cks in my opinion. Drives even better than it looks.
Now on 72k and used regular it will never be a garage queen (although it sleeps in a garage at night) or be sold to anyone who wouldn’t drive it like it should be driven. Still rapid and handles like it’s on train tracks, in this day and age I genuinely don’t think I need a faster car for everyday… find the right road on a quiet cold day and I’m a driving God (well, when I’m on my own anyway).
Rare car now I think, never seen another out and about… one of 21 Cups in this colour I believe? Anyway thought you’d enjoy an update on an old friend and thanks for selling it. Oh and I couldn’t give a s**t what profit the dealer made on the car… I paid £2k and traded in a tatty white cup so think I got a bargain.

I’m sure it’s still as awesome as when you owned it… think another guy had it between us but only for a short time. Your pics are amazing by the way, especially those taken at Blyton Park… did it see much track action when you owned it?I had the pleasure of owning that car for about 2 years, Absolutely loved it! It had the best of everything -Akrapovic, Bilsteins, Recaros, Brembos, projectors, billet gear stick, Alcantara wheel, Cup2 tyres, Cup with aircon and the best colour out there - Alien green. It was only at Blyton for the ClioSport Festival. It hadnt been on track at all in my ownership and dont think it had before me. £10K is probably the minimum, its a super rare car, especially as its a cup with Recaros and aircon.
