alloy wheel cleaner

Car  clio 16v
my alloys arent chrome, but are more shiney than standard alloys, dont know what finish they are, but what alloy cleaner/ polish would be best, i have tried using turtle wax alloy polish, and it just stayed on my wheels i couldnt get it off!!

the wheels are Lenso RS5's if that helps any body work out what the finish is.

I have a few black marks, that I want to get off, and normal car wash isnt getting it off!

Clean with Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner, use some Clay and/or Tar remover on any stubborn bits.

Polish with Autoglym Super Resin and seal with Autoglym Extra Gloss protection.

You should only ned car shamppo and water to clean them after that.

IIRC Lenso RS5 are normal alloy for the spokes, but the edge is polished

clean the wheels with a wheel cleaner like Meguiars Hot Rims, which last time i checked was safe for ALL wheel types

the edge of the wheel though requires special care, once you have cleaned the rest, polish it with some car wax, or use something like Wheel Wax, the one in the black tub

brun, yes i have been out and checed an you are right, any ideas who makes wheel wax please? i'm desperate to get my wheels sparkling again!

i used autoglym engine and machine cleaner, worked a treat. made sure i gave the wheels a good rinse and normal wash after though

Meguiars hot rims is good stuff. Works 10 times better on dry wheels though!
Meguiars wheel brush is wicked! Highly recommended! Had a tiny one before and it used to take ages! The meguiars one has really long bristles so gets in all the nooks and crannies really easliy.

cheers chris, but i brough the megs wheel cleaner, and NTX all surface polish, i'll be giving them a good going over this saturday. i'll post up the pics.
thanks all for your help.
