Alloy wheel cleaners

What kind of alloy wheel cleaner can I use on my new rims? I have just got them back powder coated matt black the guy says any acid wheel cleaner will take the powder coat off the wheel and told me to use soap and water instead but I know when I used to clean my wheels with soap and water it wasnt as clean as using stuff like wonder wheels.

Soap and water will be fine if you seal them well before they go on.

Wonder Wheels dulls the finish. You will be safe with a non acid based cleaner such as AG Engine and Machine cleaner on them.
