will 7.5x16s rub on the newest clio? coz some bloke in a shop saidthey r too wide.

Not if you get the correct offset and put 205 tyres (or narrower) on.

You sure Fred? Dont a few people run 7.5x18s and they dont catch lowered 40mm??

yeah but thats due to offset, 16s in my opinion shoud be 7inches wide (max) on 195/45 16s

I know a bloke that has the same clio as mine and he put TSW 7.5x16s on it unlowered and it rubbed to buggery!!!!

Also dogumal has 7.5x17 on his 172 unlowered and his scrubs to buggery also

But would it not then be ok to put on 7Jx16s then as long as you have the necessary weird offset, or spacers, etc.?

basically the rims i want only come in 7.5x16 with 195/45/16 tyres, and i really want them!!! im not looking to lower it coz i dont think im gna have the car for long. would spacers do the trick?

195 tyres will not fit a 7.5" rim thats fact!! There is a standards body out there (cant remember the name but all manufacturers adhere to it) that says 195 is the narrowest tyres you can put on a 7" rim so that rules out 7.5"

you need a offset of 42 that will make 7.5" fit well it would on mine but dont take that as gospal
