alloys that fit on a clio

Don't think so - Renault wheels' bolt pattern is 100x4 I believe (i.e. 100mm between the centre of the studs/holes and 4 studs in total) whereas (I think) Fords are 108x4.

I've seen a golf with renault 5 turbo wheels on so they share the same bolt pattern, but the offset of the wheels are different so can put extra stress on other suspension components.

Nope they won't fit Ford use a 108 PCD CLio's use a 100 so the bolts are 8mm further apart on a Ford.
Very few cars have a the right sized holes for Clio wheels those that do usually have smaler center bores than the 60.1mm the Clio has.
