Well as the title suggests Ive an Alpine 9815 HU which is cutting out, this has just started the past couple of months since ive been having to put the temp up inside. The problem occurs after half an hour or so of having temp turned up to say 20.
The problems tend to follow this pattern, with both original, copied and MP3 discs.
Track slipping going over the smallest of bumps.
Unit resetting itsself and playing straight away but power staying on.
Power to unit cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on again.
Power cutting to unit completely, have to turn interior temp right down for unit to play again, can take up to 30 mins.
On the back of this unit there is a small fan for cooling, as it was a tight fit to get it in there in the first place Ive a feeling this may be blocked. The unit also beeps sometimes before cutting out but I cannot see any error code being produced.
Whatever is wrong its pissing me off! Ive tried Alpine tech support but they are shut fo the holidays.
Any ideas or similar expieriences greatfully recieved!
