Alpine Steering Remote Help Req!

Can anyone tell me where the blue power on cable connects to with the Alpine steering wheel remote. Do I connect it to my power supply from the battery?

lol, no you connect it to the remote wire on the headunit.

Have either of you noticed that the operation of the steering wheel remote is now different... (on the MK1 anyway)

You have to use the underside button to advance tracks not the wheel, and you cant go backwards.

you can re-wire it but the wheel is used for cd-changer disc selection

Hmm, anyone have any wiring diagrams to do this?

I have the MP3 head unit, so am more likely to be swapping thru tracks on the single disk than changing CDs /traversing folders..

BTW, Ive found that the Alpine black box for the steering wheel remote fits nicely behind the clock. I just wrapped it all in foam to stop it rattling and its fits just nice.
