Great bit of kit, really easy to navigate around. You get the cable with it and that plugs into the back. You control the ipod from the HU (obviously) and it charges it at the same time too.
Should be fine with your ipod, my old nano works fine on it. The 'full speed' is so you can use older generation ipods and allows for quicker data transfer
Best thing is to go down to halfords or something with your ipod to see if it works. They usually price match the internet too.

Most of the ones on eBay are Asian imports and work with all frequencies but lack RDS. Meaning no "Radio x" just 99.9 etc, and more importantly no Alternate Frequencies (AF).
I have one of these units and I'm forever tuning it in, and receptions is pretty poor on Alpine units anyway. Other than that, it's fine though.

Well, just come back from halfords been playing with a unit for 20 mins or so really like it... so just took the plunge and ordered a unit from china on ebay.

id never entertain buying asian or american units. I sell alpines all day as a job and id rather have the proper thing no matter how much your saving. Up to you tho
nope. euro one is different to all others. no iso connectors either which isnt exactly a major thing. Its good aslong as you dont like radio. If you want radio properly then uk unit is only one to go for and obviously you get the warranty.
