Deco have wired backhaul enabled on them.
They also have wireless back haul model dependent!

Id not use that initially as need to get to the route of the problem. Has cat5e cable and that would be doing the backhaul as its distance based im sure.
Pretty sure it goes to his workshop so id hope it wasn't using wireless on a distance like that.
I was suggesting the wireless initially to rule out a fault on the cable.

If it’s fast on WiFi , must be cable.

I take your point about keeping it simple for now mind.

Deco have wired backhaul enabled on them.

Essentially @Andy_con is the deco plugged into the ethernet at all locations?
Is it in router mode or Wireless Access Point mode?
fibre comes into the house, which goes into the little white BT modem. this then plugs into the main deco via cat6 cable, there is then a cat5e cable linking the main deco with a second deco in my workshop.

operation mode - wi-fi router

since changing the cable between the bt modem and the main deco to cat6, when i checked yesterday the second deco was reading 150mb. never seen the second deco reading so fast

I’m having problems with my wifi dropping out in 1 room of my house, I currently have a fritzbox 7530 modem/router that was provided by my internet supplier.

Would I be able to buy a better router with a stronger signal (I’m not sure if it’s as simple as that) if so what do people recommend?

I can’t really run cables out as it’ll be a massive ball ache being the furthest point of the house from the router.

I used to have a mesh system but one of units was knocked over and stopped working. I’d go back to that but was wondering if the better router would be the easiest option?
