Altinater Blew Up, Help

As you all know i had to change my altinater the other day which i did. Then found out that it was a faulty one supplied by Renault.

There fore they said that they would take that one out and fit the new one free of charge. Which they done.

I then collected my car yesterday and drove it to a hand wash. Stoped the car to wait and then BANG smoke started comming out of the bonnet , poped the bonnet and my altinater had blown up and then set on fire which i had to put out.

To make things worse i then had to get my car towed by the AA to Renault where they gave me a courtasay car for the trouble while they fixed it. Then GET THIS i drove it off and then phoned them later and said am i insured as i didnt sign any paper work and they said sorry we didnt see you were under 21 (Even though they took a copy of drivers liecence) So they then came out and took the car back!!!!

Any ideas what happened to the altinater that blew up? Wasnt fitted correctly? Wasnt earthed?

theres not a deal you could do to blow up an alternator(nothing that you wouldnt know about as soon as you reconnected the battery/started it up anyway).your renault dealer dont seem very good do they?

no thay are not

maybe there is something else wrong with the car that is making them POP ! seems rare to have three faulty ones. althouth it is renault were talking about so anything is possible.

When you finaly get the car back make sure all your electrics work. Could even complain at renault and say your stereo has stopped workin.
