Aluminium or Carbon Bonnet

Carbon Bonnet IMO because Mk1 172 look ace with them!

However i think an Aluminium one would be lighter?!?!?!?!?

Go for Carbon! hehe!

Aluminion Id say for as its cheaper.

Its unlikly either one will be properly designed for minimum weight and best use of the materials anyway.

How about moving the battery to the boot as that will be much cheaper and give the car better balence.

Well a carbon bonnet is say 10kg lighter so will ligthen the front and lower the center of gravity (only slightly thoug) however the battery must weight twice that -plus by stickign soem more weight in the back of the ccar will help get closer to a better balenced car.

Plus its cheaper syou could do both ali/carbon bonnet and battery move and the saving its ~30kg which isnt bad.

You can get lightweight batteries as well. Its all trivial anyway, like youd notice 10kg. If you like the looks of a carbon bonnet get it for that reason.

Dont think you should go for the carbon bonnet mate, i think it will ruin the look of your car taking into account the other discreet mods youve made. think about all your other expenditure of recent and those coming up shortly, alu bonnet makes more sense financially as well!
