am I losing the plot?

The last 2 mornings I have got to my car and pressed the keyfob to unlock, pulled the handle and its still locked.
Now I'm sure I locked the car the night before on both occasions but it seems to be unlocking itself?
ive read a few posts about this but didn't come across any explanation (except for a French flag) or fix for this.
any ideas?

I had this but with the boot. Was a motor located in the actuator. Not sure whether the door operates the same way. I would imagine so however

Are you unlocking the car then not opening it for a minute or so?

The car automatically locks itself after you've pressed unlock if you don't open the door for 30 seconds (I think that amount of time, might be a min) giving you the impression you haven't locked it if you're not opening it within this time :smile:

It's a stupid feature imo. If I want to unlock my car, keep it f**king unlocked!

I had similar once.

Got to the stage where the car would lock and unlock whilst driving - sometimes constantly . And if you happened to be near the car when it had been previously locked, you'd sometimes hear it lock and unlock on it's own.

In my case it was the boot solenoid playing up. Replaced it and the issue was resolved.

Mine does the same some mornings, I do wonder if I have locked it the night before. I wouldn't worry about it unless it does it while your in the car.

you could be right here Dan. Maybe ive left it 30secs and not realised. I will wait till the morning anyway see what happens.

In my case it was the boot solenoid playing up. Replaced it and the issue was resolved.

Mine did this when i first bought the trophy. Used to drive me mental! It was the switch on the dash that just needed putting back in properly.
